Federica Mastroianni

Federica Mastroianni (born 14 April 1969, Rome, Italy) is an Italian actress and the niece of Marcello Mastroianni. She is the daughter of film editor Ruggero Mastroianni and a cousin of Chiara Mastroianni. She won the David di Donatello Award for Best Young Actress (1983) for State buoni se potete. Her career was primarily active from 1977 to 1996, with a brief return in The Prestige (2006). She is best known internationally for her role as Sophie in Dario Argento's Phenomena (1985), opposite Jennifer Connelly. Other credits include Heathers (1989) and Il grande Blek (1987).
