Ye Ning, who is suffering from ALS, confronts the devil Xie Yu Li in order to fulfill her late mother's last wish. Yu Li knows Ning’s weakness, leaving her trapped. Ye Ning is determined not to compromise, such that even the cold King of Hell has to submit to her at times. After a series of events, Ning discovers that Yu Li is not as scary as she imagined and gradually falls in love with him.
